About Us

Established in 2024, STEP UP SOCIETY is a young organisation, built on a strong foundation of over a decade of expertise gained by its founding members through projects dedicated to cultural, educational and social development, particularly in communities facing social and economic disadvantage.

Who We Are

Our organisation was created with the conviction that real change begins where empathy meets action, and that initiatives should be shaped with deep respect for the local context. We strive to be a flexible platform for meaningful intervention, responding creatively and responsibly to the needs of communities with limited access to resources.

Our Projects

We work at the intersection of culture, education and social impact, with a focus on children, young people and older adults in rural communities and those facing social vulnerability.

  • Once Upon a Time in Seleuș

    In 2025, we launched the project “Once Upon a Time in Seleuș”, an initiative that brings to life the stories of a Transylvanian community through an illustrated book, creative workshops, local events and an online platform.
